Which platforms does OutVault run on?

OutVault is free on Windows, macOS, Linux, Android and iOS — from the official stores, or as a direct download from the download page.

All versions open the same vault: add a document on your phone and it appears on your computer, already encrypted, the next time they sync.

What each version is

  • Windows, macOS and Linux — the full desktop app. Your vault lives on your computer and works with no internet connection.
  • Android and iOS — the full mobile app, for scanning documents and carrying your vault with you.
  • Chrome extension — an add-on for capture: it sends links, images and pages into your vault from the browser. It can add to your vault — it can never read it, so nothing in the browser can reach your files.

One honest rule

We only list a platform as available when you can actually install it. Whatever the download page shows is the live truth — there’s no beta link we’re hiding. New platforms and channels appear there and in the changelog the day they ship.
